「第二屆大馬之音」冠軍歌手出爐! 來自玄奘大學的鄭羽晶以一曲「If I Ain't got you」，撼動現場，在10名決賽者當中経過激烈、高水準的比賽后脫穎而出，榮獲第一名。
The 2nd annual “Suara Malaysia” has finally produced its winner! Jingle Teh from Hsuan Chuang University edges over the other 9 talented Malaysian students after a thrilling and high quality final round of this successful and popular singing competition.
The final of this competition was held at Soochow University on 26thMarch 2016. Jointly organized by Malaysian Student Association in Taiwan (MSAIT) and Malaysian Creative Cultural Association (MCCA), it has attracted over 300 Malaysian students in attendance. Sin Chew Daily and Sin Chew e-paper are the media partners of this event.
Thanks to the amazing singing abilities of all the participants and renowned judges panel like Ting Xiao-Wen, Chen Ling-Ling and Malaysian singer Yu Heng, the show was a high standard musical feast filled with excitement and applause throughout the evening.
Datuk Adeline Leong, President of Malaysian Friendship and Trade Center and Datuk James K.C. Lau, President of MCCA were deeply impressed and proud of the Malaysian students who have shown so much talent and courage. Datuk Adeline offered her full support and recognition in this event and wishes for more potential Malaysian talents to be unearthed through this platform to establish themselves in this field. Datuk James stated that“Suara Malaysia”has proved to the world again that "Once a platform is set, our Malaysian students will have the opportunity to display their skills and talent". Currently Datuk Adeline and Datuk James are planning to invite Jingle Teh, the champion of “Suara Malaysia”to perform in the Merdeka Day celebration on Sep 2nd 2016.
Datuk James also promised that MCCA will continue to support this event and even consider to hold it simultaneously both in Malaysia and Taiwan in the years to come.
Well-known artist Ting Xiao-Wen was invited as a judge for the second time. She reiterated that ”Suara Malaysia” has now become more significant and well-established, and she is convinced that it will become a crucial Suara performance platform for Malaysian talents in the future. Malaysian singer Yu Heng, who was part of the judges’ panel, also performed two songs during the night. She was equally impressed and proud of the performance of her fellow Malaysians.
Lastly, President of MSAIT, Dominic Chai mentioned that Jingle Teh will be invited to kick off the opening of the 2nd annual Malaysian Arts Festival on April 10th 2016, which is also the second biggest Malaysian arts and cultural event this year jointly organized by MCCA and MSAIT.
