協助災後重建 台灣大同捐贈太陽能發電系統
2015-06-05這項捐贈儀式11日於首相署舉行,由大同集團系統事業群資深副總經理林和龍移交予大馬國家安全理事會秘書拿督莫哈末達祖丁,在場見證者包括首相對東亞特使拿督斯里張慶信、駐馬來西亞台北經濟文化辦事處代表羅由中及馬來西亞商業及工業協會理事長劉康捷。
這項預期耗資約100萬令吉的綠色科技--「太陽能發電整合系統」,運用太陽能日照發電,結合蓄電、抽水、淨化、過濾、照明等功能,將有效及時解決災區最為迫切的生活需求,尤其可讓校園或醫院快速恢復運作。
多方奔走、促成這項深具意義捐贈活動的劉康捷理事長表示,去年大馬不幸發生45年來最嚴重的水災,造成人民巨大損失和不便,讓災區重回正軌是當務之急,而「水和電更是關鍵」,因此,他向台灣在這方面擁有頂尖技術的大同集團接觸尋求協助,大同高層也發揮「人溺己溺」精神,快速作出慷慨樂捐的決定,以幫助大馬災民渡過難關。
劉理事長也表達了旅台大馬人對自己國家發生大水災的關切和焦急,他希望「拋磚引玉」,讓更多人關注災區並施援手,協助災民重建家園,回歸正常生活。

TAIWAN TATUNG GROUP DONATES A UNIT OF SOLAR POWER SYSTEM TO THE NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL
This meaningful gesture would not be achieved without the proactive efforts and kind initiative by Mr. James Lau Kong Chiok, President of Malaysian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Taipei. Tatung Group (a conglomerate established since 1918 from Taiwan) has stepped forward to donate 1 set of solar power system worth approximately RM 1 million to the Government of Malaysia as part of their CSR programme.
This solar power system is integrated with several functions, including generation of power, and water purification to provide clean water. It helps to overcome power and water shortage during disasters. This solar power system will be installed in a public premise, such as a hospital or a school, which is to be identified by National Security Council at a later date.
The ceremony took place at the National Security Council Office in Putrajaya at 11am on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015.
Mr Lin Hur-lon, Senior Vice President representing Tatung Group handed over the token of friendship to YBhg Dato Mohamed Thajudeen, Secretary of National Security Council representing the Government of Malaysia. The ceremony was witnessed by YB Dato' Seri Tiong King Sing, Prime Minister's Special Envoy to East Asia, accompanied by Mr. Lo Yu-chung, Representative of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia and Mr. James Lau Kong Chiok, President of Malaysian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Taipei.
James Lau said, the idea of pursuing the sponsorship of Solar Power System from Tatung Group came up following a series of disastrous floods that hit the east coast of Malaysia end of last year. He is also very pleased with the kind gesture of Tatung group which further strengthens the friendship with Malaysia.
