台塑集團創辦人王永在先生于11月27日在府中安詳逝世，馬來西亞首相東亞特使拿督斯里張慶信率６位大馬國會議員，馬來西亞駐台代表拿督楊德勝和馬來西亞商業及工業協會理事長劉康捷前往台塑總部追思弔唁，並代表大馬首相及人民對王創辦人致上崇高敬意及向台塑集團王文淵總裁致意。本會劉康捷理事長居中協調並全程陪同。

王創辦人打造台塑企業王國、為人處世堅持及勤勞樸實的信念更為後世晚輩典範，對經濟貢獻卓著，與會者均感不捨與惋惜。

In Remembrance of Mr. Wang Yung-Tsai, Co-founder of Formosa Plastics Group

Formosa Plastics Group (FPG) co-founder Mr. Wang Yung-Tsai has passed away peacefully in his home on November 27^th.  Malaysian Prime Minister’s special envoy to East Asia Dato’ Seri Tiong King Sing, on behalf of the Prime Minister and the people of Malaysia, led six Malaysian parliamentary members, President of MFTC Datuk Yong Teck Shing and President of MayCham James Lau Kong Chiok in attending a memorial service held at the FPG’s headquarters.  This courteous gesture was facilitated through the coordinating efforts of MayCham President James Lau, allowing the delegation to venerate their utmost respect to Wang and also pay tribute to FPG’s current Group CEO Mr. Wang Wen-Yuan. 

Wang had forged the business kingdom of Formosa Plastics Group through his persistence in conducting himself with guileless and diligent manners, thus setting a benchmark for the future generations.  His outstanding contribution to the nation’s economy didn’t go unnoticed, and those who took part in the service were overcome by a sense of grief and regret.
